Tina and Amanda
Tina Louise, an American actress and writer popular for her portrayal of Ginger Grant on the television show Gilligan's Island during the 1960s. In the 1950s she began her career as an actress on stage with Bettle Davis' show Two's Company. Following that, she performed on Broadway for a number of shows until the year 1957, when Li'l Abner made it huge at the National Theater. In 1957, she also made her debut album entitled It's Time for Tina. Louise began her Hollywood career in the year 1958 in which she portrayed Griselda Walden in God's Little Acre, a film that was dramatic. It was a huge success and Louise received an award called the Golden Globe Award for the New Star of the Years category. At the time, she began her studies at Actors Studio in New York and began a relationship to Lee Strasberg as his student. Her next memorable role came through in 1964 when she enrolled with CBS to play Ginger Grant in 1964. Louise Balfour continued to successfully move between Broadway and Hollywood playing a somber, sombre character against her famous image as a glamorous doll. Amanda Tapping..........................Amanda Tapping is best known for her acting roles as Samantha Carter in the series Stargate. SG-1 & Sanctuary, although she made a mark as a successful television director with several series including Supernatural and The 100. Her birth date was 28 August 1965 in Essex. At the age of three, her family relocated her to Toronto in Canada where she spent in the city for her entire childhood. After being chosen in 1997 to play Samantha Carter she settled down in Vancouver and has been living in Vancouver ever since.
