Ina-Garten
Ina Garten is an American writer of cookery cookbooks as well as Emmy Award-winning host of Food Network's longest-running program Barefoot Contessa that debuted in 2002 and will run for 27 seasons to 2020. Ina began her career in writing nuclear energy policies and budgets of the White House. Though she found the career interesting initially, she eventually stopped her pursuit and purchased a small speciality food shop - Barefoot Contessa. It took her 18 years to make the shop extremely popular before letting it go before acquiring a pen to write her first cookbook. Many more cookbooks and magazine columns that came later. The Food Network TV show also made its debut with great success. Additionally, she sells items ranging from food ingredients to storage containers and tools. Ina did not go to a cooking academy and has never had any experience in a restaurant. Ina is completely self-taught. Her easy-going approach to entertaining as well as her simple culinary style is widely known. Some of her most popular recipes include Skillet with Roasted lemon Chicken Mac and cheese Mac, Beef Bourguignon and cheese paired with Beatty's Chocolate Cake, and Lemon Bars.
